Identity V

A game that I recently got into is Identity V. It is an Asymmetrical Multiplayer Horror Game. It’s developed by Hong Kong studio: NetEase. The gameplay is very similar to Dead by Daylight and came out 2 years later, so there was plenty of inspiration taken. There is a Hunter and 4 Survivors. The survivors have to decode 5 cipher machines to get the code to the exit gate to escape while the hunter is trying to pick as many off as possible. The hooks have been replaced by Rocket Chairs. The art style is quite different though, and it looks much like the movie “Coraline.” This gives it a bit of a different atmosphere than Dead by Daylight to set it apart. Another different aspect and improvement is survivors also having a hero mechanic. A hero mechanic is when the player can choose different characters that have different abilities. In Dead by Daylight, only the hunter can do so, in Identity V, both sides have this option. This adds an incredible amount to the game. Identity V also has many more mini modes than the normal mode, such as Tarot, Black Jack, Duo hunters, and several more that provide different play experiences that Dead by Daylight also doesn’t provide.
